The 5th Movie In The Indiana Jones Franchise Has A Title And A New Trailer!

There’s a new Indy Movie!  Indiana Jones and the Dial Of Destiny is the title for the newest sequel and we also have a brand new trailer that really gives us the goods!  There will be flashbacks to adventures we haven’t seen from previous sequels, re-introductions of old friends and even family members that we haven’t met yet, and an old Indy that once again gets the opportunity for an all new adventure. One of the hot discussion points for the new Indiana Jones sequel is the de-aging of Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford, which from first looks, they have done a wonderful job and it really looks like the footage was shot 40 years ago , but turned into high definition gold!  This will bode well for the scenes where we will see flashbacks of Indy’s prior escapades. Also, we get our first glimpse of Indiana Jones close friend and treasure hunter, Sallah. Sallah – I miss the desert.  I miss the sea.   And I miss waking up every morning wondering what wonderful adventure the new day will bring to us. Indiana Jones – Those days have come and gone. Sallah – Perhaps..  Perhaps not.  He begins the trailer dialog talking to Indiana, coaxing him into just one more adventure, which we so much can’t wait to enjoy in theaters. The trailer really felt like one of the first 3 films and had all the hallmarks of what fans want to see in a Indiana Jones movie!  Thrilling adventure, treasure to hunt, and those dastardly Nazi’s that we love to see Indy take on.  In all, this was a good trailer that doesn’t give away too much and leaves us wanting more.   Indiana Jones and the Dial Of Destiny will be in theaters on June 30th, 2023.  Stay tuned for more news and trailers and remember – If it ain’t Retro, It ain’t worth reading!

D&D Anniversary Documentary Being Made

A documentary about the popular role playing game Dungeons and Dragons is being made which will delve into the rise of the iconic game, the current game rules and iterations, and many interviews and commentary from celebrities and fans, old and new. The Dungeons & Dragons documentary will be released in 2024, although a specific date has not yet been announced. Fans of D&D will want to keep an eye out for more news on this story so they can gather with their guild to watch the video when it is released! First Look At A Christmas Story Christmas.. And Meh

A Christmas Story will go down as one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. On the other hand, the first look at its sequel has so far proven to be less stellar and definitely less to go on. We were hoping to get something a bit more than a clip of Ralphie putting his glasses on and a bunch of audio clips from the first movie, but that’s exactly what we got. Not a lot to go on, so I guess it can only get better from here.

The Oregon Trail Is Being Made Into A Live-Action Movie Musical

You might have a wave of nostalgia blast through your mind at the mere mention of The Oregon Trail, which was a PC game that originally came out in 1971, but was made popular because of how many kids played it in their school computer class.  Its had a few revivals and is still fondly remembered by Gen-Xers when they see it, but this latest news is a bit different. Apparently its being made into a Movie Musical with the game concept being made into a fully fledged film experience. Almost like you were thrown right into 19th century pioneer life as you sing songs about dysentery and try to survive a cross country migration in a real life film. This might be a train wreck.. I mean wagon wreck I have to check out when it hits theaters.. Or where ever it ends up streaming.

Duke Nukem Live-Action Movie

Looks like a DUKE NUKEM might finally be getting a movie!  Its funny.. I say FINALLY like I was ever even expecting to see a DUKE NUKEM MOVIE It wasn’t even something I really every thought would happen, but since its being made, im all like.. BRING IT ON!!! I absolutely LOVED playing Duke Nukem 3d back in the late 90s and even before that, I use to play the side scrolling game that was sorta like a cross between Super Mario and Contra.  That game was fun, but when Duke Nukem 3d came out!  I was all in on the DUKE NUKEM franchise..   It’s a real shame it took like 15 years for Duke Nukem Forever to finally  come out..  All us Nukem fans sorta fizzed out by the time they released that movie.. But still, if you a fan of Duke Nukem like me, let me know what you think about the creators of Cobra Kai deciding to make a movie based on the Duke Nukem game and who would YOU like to see play the lead character!  Let me know!

1983′ DnD Cartoon Characters In NEW Live-Action DnD Movie

San Diego ComiCon ended recently, but there was one news story from the CON that I wanted to talk about!  If you didn’t already know,  theres a Dungeons And Dragons movie being made starring Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, and a slew of other cast..  That’s based off the popular role playing game. But if you’re a fan of the Dungeon And Dragons Cartoon from 1983, your going to be particularly happy to know that there is a film clip from SCC that apparently has the main cast held up in  a gladiator arena filled with other D&D parties,  and one that stood out according to people that saw the clip was a party that closely resembled the characters from the 1983 Cartoon Dungeons And Dragons. I havent seen the clip yet, but im sure after comicon is over that we will be getting a full HD look at it soon enough.  Im just happy that for this movie they are bringing in DnD  fandom from all over for the flick.  Whether you’re a fan of playing the game as a kid, an adult, or just reading the books and watching the 80s cartoon – It seems theres going to be something that all the DnD fans are gonna enjoy about this film. For me, I like the DnD game , but also hearing that we will se characters like Hank, Eric, Presto, Bobby and the rest is a fun addition that I think is great to learn about..  I just hope we see more than a few seconds of the characters in the movie. If you were at SDCC or got a chance to see the clip with the 1983 cartoon cast – be sure to post your thought on it..
