Calling All Masters Of The Universe Fans – You now have a chance to relive your childhood, especially if you missed out on getting the Masters Of The Universe Eternia Playset as a kid.
The original playset was considered a flop when it was released in the 1980s, partly due to timing, but many years later, if you have the original set, it’s a very sought after toy. If you didn’t get one, Mattel is doing a crowd funding campaign for a upgraded version of the huge toy playset that will start on October 12th.
This coincides with He-Man’s 40th birthday, and the playset is officially announced as the Masters Of The Universe Origins Eternia Playset.
It stands 3 feet tall, 4 feet wide, and has Eternia Tower flanked on each side by Grayskull Tower and Viper Tower. Also, much like the original playset, it features a working battle tram, elevators, trap doors, and a lot more that fans will be happy to see.
Mattel has said that they need at least 5000 backers to start the production, and this huge set is going to run you about 550 dollars plus about 50 dollars for shipping if you want in on the deal.
The offer will run until November 9th, according to PopInsider.com, but if its funded by October 19th, Mattel said they will throw in a limited edition King Grayskull figure to sweeten the deal!!
The Eternia toy set will ship on or about March 29th, 2024 if you want to join the crowd fund!
