SEGA Genesis 2 Is Up For Pre-Order!

If you are excited for the launch of the new Sega Genesis Mini 2, you might want to know that according to a Sega representative, theres going to be a really small supply available to the US.

This news came from Polygon.com, and they reported that Sega is planning on selling the Sega Genesis Mini 2 to the US and Western markets directly through their Amazon Japanese storefront due to the ongoing issues with availability of semiconductors.

Sega also said that the amount of consoles available will be about 1 tenth of the amount of Sega Genesis mini’s they sold from the 2019 launch.

The console will only be produced in Japan and theres no immediate plans to produce the Mini 2 overseas which will make the cost and shipping higher for western consumers.

There was a lot of worry that was going to happen when the console was first announced in June.

The console will cost US customers about 105 dollars and with shipping, your going to pay closer to 125.00 to get it shipped to your door.

A lot more than I think most people were expecting to pay for a console that really has price tag that should stay around the 105 to 110 price range considering what it comes with..

But if you’re a collector – you might want to go to the Amazon Japan site and pre-order it while you can.

Due to the limited quantity, you can buy 1 – unless you have multiple accounts..

Ive never done a Amazon affiliate link, but for this occasion..  If you’d like to support Retro Crunch and everything we do here and you plan to pre-order the Genesis mini 2 – I’ll link down below in the comments to the Amazon Japan page so you can pre-order one.
